Asia Cup 2008 Live ScoreBoard : India V/S Sri Lanka
July 2, 2008
The batting has clicked for both India and Sri Lanka so far in the tournament but Pakistan’s performance against the two teams highlighted how undercooked India’s bowlers are. They have failed to come to grips with the flat decks in Karachi and it’s their batsmen who bailed them out in the wins against Bangladesh and Pakistan.
Pakistan has beaten India in a high scoring Asia Cup Super one day cricket match in Karachi.
Younis Khan struck his first one-day international century at home to take Pakistan to a eight-wicket win.
Younis’s undefeated 123, his fifth one-day century, gave Pakistan their fifth victory while chasing 300 or more runs and revived their fading hopes of a place in the final.
Pakistan reached their target with 4.3 overs to spare after India made 308 for seven from their 50 overs.
If Sri Lanka beat India today Pakistan will have to defeat Bangladesh by a big margin to reach the final.
Sri Lanka have already qualified, and have the luxury to rest key players, something Pakistan won’t want them to do.
