Online Scoreboard : Live Cricket Scores : India VS Australia 2nd Test, Mohali, Border-Gavaskar Test Series 2008 : Second Test Preview: India Vs Australia

Ricky Ponting says Australia’s inability to force the win in Bangalore left a “sour taste in the mouth”. If the early signs here are anything to go by, he’ll have to wait another two weeks before that taste has a chance of evaporating.

The tourists fought hard for five days in the first Test and held the upper hand for all but a session, only for the pitch to flatten out over the last two or three days as India held on to keep the series all-square. It was a match which certainly whet the appetite for more but also frustrated as it failed to lift beyond third gear, annoyingly leaving two more unused.
