Saturday’s match will be crucial for Kings XI Punjab to attain target semi-finals. Kings XI Punjab will also be eyeing for revenge against the Gilchrist team in today’s match.
Yuvraj Singh and his team started strong and were then laid low by a few poor performances that saw them down to the second last spot on the points table with just 11 points to their credit. What they are looking at today is a massive leap from there into the top four, and they couldn’t have asked for a tougher opponent.
Deccan Chargers, however, have 10 points to their credit from 8 games which give them 4th position in the tally.
It will be a difficult situation for Gilchrist team to make selections for today’s match as super-slugger Andrew Symonds will be back.
