ICC World Twenty20 : Australia vs West Indies

June 5, 2009

Australia’s Twenty20 World Cup campaign has gotten off to a controversial start with serial pest Andrew Symonds sent home before a ball was even bowled for his latest team “indiscretion”.

For Australia, history in T20 is not so good, the West Indies however are just a little bit worse.

Australia have won just over half of there T20 internationals (11 from 21) while the West Indies have only played 11 matches winning just four of them so statistically, on a holistic win/loss ratio, Australia are superior (I use that team loosely).

The West Indies do hold an advantage over Australia in this match however, they have played in the only two T20 matches hosted at The Oval.

Match scheduled to begin at 14:00 local time (13:00 GMT)

Current time: 06:22 local, 05:22 GMT
