KKR approach Akram for coaching job
August 25, 2009
Kolkata Knight Riders management, searching a coach for their IPL franchise, now targets former Pakistan skipper and seamer Wasim Akram.
Akram also said that he got a call from KKR principal owner Shah Rukh Khan for the interview which he will give by the end of this week.
Sources said, the good rapport between Akram and KKR captain Sourav Ganguly may well seal the deal for him.
Sourav Ganguly, on Sunday interviewed three former cricketers.
Ganguly joined KKR’s principal owner Shah Rukh Khan and co-owner Jay Mehta in Mumbai to listen to former Australia batsman Michael Bevan, former England all rounder Dermot Reeve and former India batsman W V Raman’s presentations.
Lalchand Rajput and Ashok Malhotra had given their presentations yesterday.
